are not in question... an entities data is what is being backed up in some form
or fashion...

uhhh... seems to me that 20 million 5 cent payments amounts to quite a decent
amount of money... hell, i'd like to have 1/16th of that given to me each year
yet they are collecting that total amount on a much shorter timespan than a
year...

no, copyright law is about protecting one's intellectual property and being
able to be compensated for the use of that intellectual property...

shareware can be (and is) pirated by cracking registration codes and using
cracked registration codes instead of paying the owner of that intellectual
property the fee for a valid and legal registration key...
