BA> Both OJ Simpson and Robert Blake were acquitted of murder in a court
BA> of law. Yet both were successfully pursued in civil court for
BA> enormous damages by plaintiffs alleging they were responsible for the
BA> deaths they were acquitted of causing.

BA> I happen to think that OJ is guilty as h*ll, but under the law he is

BA> civil damages. Obviously that doesn't matter in civil court and that
BA> is one thing that is wrong with the court system.

What was wrong in the OJ case was that he was tried and judged by his
peers, which is according to law. But the problem was that his 'peers'
were all black and it didn't matter what the evidence showed, he was and
remains innocent in their eyes. In the civil case, there is no such thing
as being judged and tried by your peers, thus the jewish populated jury
sided with the father of the male victim.

BA> I don't know about Blake, given the circumstances it seems unlikely
BA> that he actually killed the woman - but he might have hired it out.

Knowing the case, I'd say that he hired it out. Leaving his wife in the
car while he went back to the restaurant to retrieve lost keys was the
setup.
