Unless you have business at the base, you won't be let through the gate
without a security pass. Or you're escorted by millitary personel with the
authority to take a citizen on base.

And there's the rub. That was then, this is now. In those days there
wasn't as much base security as there is today. Even I've gone on base
without a pass. And that base was a Sub Base in San Diego where the Navy
kept their nuke subs. Highly classified at the time.

My friend from the former Dutch island of New Guinea told me about similar
things on that island during WW2.

LOL! When you get into trouble with your arguements, you always resort to
semantics...Cuba is borderline on the Atlantic and the Caribbean. Your
large task force will be asked by the US Coast Guard patroling the waters
outside of Gitmo before you reach it. Not to mention the Cuban navy's
coastal fleet.
