If your parliamentarians are voted in by the people, then the people are the
ones whom need to pressure them and vote them out.

When outside pressure from USA Hollywood entertainment interests, ie RIAA etc
etc applied pressure to your govt, you resented it and even got involved with a
political party to defy it.

If you are now welcoming outside influence into your political system, just be
careful of openning Pandora's box, for you will not be able to pick and choose
said influence.

Politics sucks, "If we help you do this, will you help us do that".

I like Frank Vest's reply to you on the subject, after all the crap being fed
to us that what we do has an effect on you and nothing you do has an affect on
us, why would be bother other than to risk being accused of meddling in Swedish
affairs, thus completing the circle?

Now here is a tip of the hat to our political system, the long campaigning
periods at least over here do allow for the vetting of those candidates whom
might have an agenda or other undesirable baggage, whereas you as in a member
of the electorate do not have enough time to determine a candidates fitness or
agendas.

Of course no system is perfect.

Now why would I trust an article you dredged up?

Applying outside political pressure wont work, what would work is if the voting
public in Sweden threatens to fire via ballot box those parliamentarians or
somehow get a no-confidence thing going.
