It looks like either a hotel or apartment back balcony. Elevated, perhaps
on the 2nd floor. No idea about the significance of it.

The other evening I took a job that was on the cusp of our territory and
SA's. Their job number was 132. Each day the job numbers start over at
.001 with the first job after midnite. The full job number is the area,
date and sequence. san080729.132 (san = area, then, year, month, day, job
number) We're based out of New Braunfels, so our jobs start with NB.

Last time for me was last year. I had opened this young man's car for the
3rd time in that many days and he asked me to let him know when it was
unlocked this time, because he was working. I left my keys in the ignition
with the engine running, manually locked the doors and anticipated
re-opening upon my return with the remote, which was in my pocket. That
was the day I found out that remotes don't work with the key in the
ignition. With my unlocking tools locked in the vehicle, there was no
alternative, I had to call my partner to loan me his tool. Embarrassing at
the time, but everyone had a great laugh at the managers meeting the
following week.

WD> So any truth to that Nicolas Cage movie "Gone in 60 seconds", or what
 WD> was it called?

Yeup. That movie is embellished a lot, but that has happened. In my time
here, I've seen some employees get fired for such antics as opening a
locked car and collecting the fee, but not writing an invoice, thus
pocketing the money. Some employees have quit, only to start their own
business's, although that is against the contract they had signed with the
company. They have been sued and are now out of business.

OTH, one SA tech I know, was shown on a TV news trouble-shooter program as
being the only honest person they interviewed that day. We're supposed to
ID by Texas law, any person who wants us to open a car for them. That is
first and foremost and stressed by the company as well. He refused to
unlock a vehicle because the owner had no ID, nor would they even attempt
to identify anything in the vehicle that would be out of sight, as in a
glove compartment. Eddie got a pat on the back by everyone that day, as
the incident made us all look honest in the public eye.
