Many physicians prescribe various things for their patients that make the
patient feel better. That proves nothing.

The AMA is run by medical doctors and scientists. Its unlikely they didn't
know `marajuana' and `cannabis' were one and the same. Thats pretty far
fetched.

I never claimed otherwise. I have known that for many years, since I was a
small boy.

*I'm* not the one objecting. The only thing I object to is legalizing marjuana
`for medical' reasons. It isn't a `medication'. Its a narcotic on much the
same level as alcohol. If it were a `medication'.......all the medical
research organizations in the country (accredited ones, that is) would be
raising hell with the government over it, as well as AMA organizations in
every state, and it would have been legalized long ago.

Aparently not.............since its not only illegal all over the country,
nobody (that has any weight, that is) is yammering at the government to remove
it from the banned substances list. Nobody except the usual pothead
organizations, that is.


See, here's a big hole in the `medication' argument:


So they called it `medicine'.......some doctors prescribed it to patients...
and suddenly stores that deal in drug paraphenalia start selling `medicine'.


And the only places you saw on news videos that carried this `medicine'...
reminded one of pot dens from the sixties......and the `pharmacist' who filled
these `prescriptions' were a bunch of longhaired pot freaks!


By the way........most doctors tell their patients that one or two alcoholic
drinks each day are good for them. That doesn't make alcohol a medicine.


Legalize marajuana and control it the same as alcohol and tobacco, tax it, and
be done with it. I got no problem with that. But don't bullshit me with this
`medication' crap. If its ever going to be legalized and regulated, thats the
wrong approach.


What's the `right' approach?


Get these accredited organizations, all these professional individuals who
were all over it "decades ago", as well as the American voters, to get it onto
a national `up or down' ballot issue......vote it one way or the other and be
done with it!


My educated guess is, it would pass overwhelmingly (by the way....*I* would
vote to legalize it, and have voted such every time its been on a ballot or
proposition), probably by a landslide!
