That is incorrect.
 
Nazi Germany had 6 years of peace and 6 years of war conditions of which the
lastone was not exactly a success. The country prospered from 1933 to 1939
without invading anyone.
 
The Nazis paid their debts unlike some other countries these days.
 
You have to be careful when claiming they did 'pillage foreign populations'.
For starters there was a massive shortage for anything even for the German
population. It is well described in the book "The Past is Myself" written by
Christabel Bielenbergh, an English girl married to a German and living through
the war years in Nazi-Germany. The BBC made an excellent mini-series out of it
and Christabel Bielenbergh wrote a follow-up on the story "The Road Ahead".

My folks lived 4 years through occupation and there were shortages, yes, but it
was'n as if there was a constant stream of trucks driving east to provide for
the Germans.
 
The economy still was in place, people worked, trains ran ... mostly on time
even, people could go on vacations, ...
 
Other than that it is quite well known that the large financers in Germany, yes
... the Jewish bankers, would have supported the regime financially if they
would have been invited.
 
The Nazis could have bought everything, they choose otherwise.

It was the Marshall aid and the rebuilding by mostly the Americans that made
Germany what it is now. It wasn't exactly generosity but a political very
effective way to stop the spreading of communism and to keep the Soviets where
they got.
