Billy Pilgrim was a character in Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five"
who was unstuck in time.  Einstein viewed time not in linear fashion,
but rather like a table where one could jump from one point to any
other point, whether backwards or forwards.  Is that faster than light
travel?  Could be.

Unlike scientific method (investigating empirical evidence),
thought experiments are used to study the quantum level.

Quantum suicide is the thought experiment used to show the
validity (in a positive way) of the many-worlds theory.
