Well, there is dark chocolate, there is milk chocolate, and
there is white chocolate.  What flavor would you prefer?

Bill Jefferson is a very successful lawyer and congressman,
and black as the ace of spades.

Ray Nagin is a very successful businessman and mayor, and
muddy as Mississippi Mud.

"Dutch" Morial was a very successful lawyer and mayor, and
light as cream.

All were considered black enough by the black population,
even though all three had different shades of black.

Bobby Jindal is a non-white politician.  It did not matter if he
labelled himself a Republican or a Democrat.  Jindal won election
to the Congress, and later to the governorship of Louisiana, not
because of his party affiliation but rather because he chose to
run as a moderate rather than as an ideological conservative.

Dr Rice would be rejected as a political candidate due to her
philosophy as an ideological conservative.  Not because of her
race.  Not because of her party affiliation.

No candidate (regardless of party or race) running as an ideological
conservative could have won.  Unless running against another ideological
conservative.

Black folks did not vote for Obama because he is black.
Black folks voted for Obama because they are black.
It made no difference what Obama's party affiliation happened
to be.  Political philosophy mattered, but not party affiliation.

The fact that Obama was not an ideological conservative was all
that really mattered.  Especially since Obama's opponent clearly
ran as an ideological conservative.

Alan Keyes is an ideological conservative.  Obama is not.
Both men are black, so race was not a factor.

American voters throughout the land have soundly rejected
the philosophy of ideological conservatives.  It is that false
god that Republicans have yet to reject.  And until they do,
they will continue to be LOSERS.
