It is called "fossil fuel" because it has been sitting there for geological
times, not because it comes from dinosaurs. I the beginning, before there was
life, the atmosphere mainly consisted of CO2. The first life was plant life and
CO2 was converted into organic compounds by fotosyntesis.  Freeing oxygen in
the process. Most of the coal, gas and oil comes from that era. *Way* befpre
the dynosaurs. Animal life only became possible *after* a substantial amount of
the CO2 had been taken out of the atmosphere and replaced by oxygen.

You are an optimist. Totally ignoring that burning oil, coal and gas will up
the CO2 levels.

It is there for all to see. Just open your eyes.

Indeed, so why am I talking to you?

I know what the sun is. Its total enery output is about 10^33 ergs/sec.

I also know that the sun is not the only source of heat that affects the
temperature of the earth. There is fossil heat. Gravitational energy that was
freed during the condensation of a dust cloud into a planet. IOW, the earth is
still cooling off. And then there is heat from radioactive decay in the earth.

All these factors are quit constant. They can not explain the rapid *change* in
climate that we are experiencing now.

The coorrelation between rising CO2 levels and rising temperatures over the
last 150 years is telling though.
