If the network is functioning as it is, he isnt necessarily hindering its
smooth operation.

We live in a very political world, and Fidonet has its own set of politics.

You are well aware of the turmoil we had over here regarding a certain region,
whereas social concerns outweighed the technical concerns over who should have
been the RC of that region.

In your case I have no doubt you possess the technical skills, albeit truth be
known, I doubt your position on policy would differ from Wards.

As far as the smooth operation of the network, if the ZC doesnt feel he can
work with you as a RC, that might be where he is at now?

All of us wera some sort of blinders, some big, some small, some all
encompassing.

If I understand what Ward had stated, if you used your secure link with him to
insert a regional stub with you listed as the RC, before he officially accepted
you as RC, that was the wrong way to go about it, and certainly did not help
your case.

What I had to do here in REGION 18, I had the NC's choose a unique name for
their stubs, only I and the NC knew that name, this prevented anyone else from
using a link they might have had with me to insert a seg that my automation
would use. I had someone try, after this setup was implemented, of course the
rogue seg merely languished in my inbound.

I can tell you that arguing with Ward in a back and forth, did not - did to,
fashion isnt going to win your case for you.

Your region is going to have to collectively come to your side and convince him
that you are a better alternative than whom you have now.
