Your contention that modern US aircraft carriers and large cargo ships
(supertankers) routinely traversed the Strait of Hormuz to access the
Persian Gulf prior to the first Persian Gulf War has been shown to be
in error.  You can lie all you want, but those lies will not change the
facts.

Say whatever you want.  But tonka toys do not equate with supertankers.
The fact is, modern US aircraft carriers and large cargo ships (such
as supertankers) could not routinely traverse the Strait of Hormuz into
the Persian Gulf prior to the first Persian Gulf War.

supertankers) have deep drafts, and could not traverse the Strait
of Hormuz on a routine basis until the first Persian Gulf War.

cargo ships (such as supertankers) could routinely traverse the
Strait of Hormuz *without* a navigational channel being needed
to be dredged, and that such travel was routine prior to the
first Persian Gulf War.

Supertankers are too large to go up the Mississippi River and many
other places.  Those supertankers are so huge it is impossible for
them to enter a port fully loaded, and must upload and unload their
cargo at offshore platforms and single-point moorings.  They also
pump their cargo off to smaller tankers at designated lightering
points off-coast.

Smaller ships (not supertankers) can enter the Mississippi River and
travel all the way up the mouth of the river up until Baton Rouge, but
then must transfer their load onto barges to be shipped further north.
And those smaller ships are dependent on the river being dredged.
Barges are not so dependent.
