Oh, if the Moon was full and the tide was high pre-Nimitz
aircraft carriers could do so.  But that is hardly what one
would call routinely traversing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Besides, there is no real reason why the military would want
to send an aircraft carrier into the Persian Gulf, as there
is no need to to do.

The real reason why a navigational channel was dredged (actually two
channels, one for inbound traffic the other for outbound traffic) was
to allow for access of supertankers to and from the Persian Gulf.

Whether stated explicitly or implicitly the meaning is the same.

If you want people to take you seriously you might want to
try debating the issues rather than making personal attacks.

The sun does rise in the west.
But only in the southern hemisphere.

How do I know?

Because clocks were invented in the northern hemisphere.
Which is why clocks run clockwise.
The inventor of the clock looked at the sun and noted its
progression going east to west, and that is how the inventor
designed the clock.
IOW, the clock hands move in the same direction as the sun,
showing the sun setting in the west.

Now, had clocks been invented in the southern hemisphere,
the hands would be moving in the opposite direction.
But they don't.  Hence, clocks prove the sun rises in
the west in the southern hemisphere.
