32 years ago.
No, I did NOT snap the shot off, I took careful aim and missed
dead center of where the hands attach by a 32th of an inch.

Know your backkstop.
A weapon is always loaded.
Never point a weapon at anyone unless your intention
is to kill that individual.

In fact I am trying to give safety lessons to Roy Witt who
seems to think he can stand 15 feet in front of a .50 calibre
Grizz long rifle loaded with a blank and survive.
He would not.

Didn't you seem to forget the *CONCRETE* wall between me and the Gulf
of Mexico?

The .22 LR didn't penetrate through the cheap thin metal of the synchronouus
motor alarm clock frame let alone mar the concrete block wall.

Concrete block does stop a soft lead unclad .22 however
it never touched the block.

If this is the only thing you can use to attack me, something
that happened 32 years ago and draw from the fact I did indeed
destroy a 5 dollar alarm clock and draw from that the conclusion
I've no respect for human life you're delusional.

However there was *absolutely* no risk to anyone or anything, except the alarm
clock of course.
Poor thing :-(

I do not know many people who can walk on water, make that any.

I *never* claimed I fired at the wall, I fired at the alarm clock.
The wall happened to be behind the alarm clock.
This is known as a backstop.

Ciderblock doesn't produce richocettes, only harder substances.

Sure it might fragment off some concrete but that's it but then
I didn't shoot at the wall, that was merely the backstop I relied upon
were I to miss.

Hardly likely I'd miss when the 10 ring on an NRA target is .18 of an
inch or 4 hundreths of an inch *smaller* than a .22 LR.

You have to shoot ten series of ten targets each from the sitting, standing,
prone and kneeling position to advance to the various awards given by the NRA.

Shoot an 8 ring and start the series of a hundred all over again.

The bullet was intact but highly deformed and completely contained
as one piece in the alarm clock.
I should say *former* alarm clock.

I am *not* a person in possession of firearms.
I got really, really good at it, tired of it and got rid
of the target rifle around 1974 IIRC.

I got rid of my Savage Anshultz Mark 10 Bull Barrel target rifle myself
when I got to be an expert marksman and tired of shooting at paper targets. 

Forget expert marksmen, that's a very low rating in the NRA.
I quit at sharpshooter 7th bar and that due to the club letting individuals
in who were dangerous.
Lt Dennis nearly got killed the day I quit the club.

A few days earlier I got *hit* with splatter from a bullet striking
a piece of very hard metal some moron attached to the target clip.

BTW, I have been giving truely good safety advice in here
and all you want to do is bring up an incident 32 years ago
that could never have harmed anything but the alarm clock 
or possibly a block wall had I missed?

Oh, there *was* an injury.
When I got up eventually and walked over to the remains of
the alarm clock I got a tiny little cut on my foot from
the shattered plastic case halfway across the room. 

Hell of a shot with a 13 1/2 pound target rifle held
with my left hand only!

I never did like that alarm clock!
