     Absolutely. I am the first to agree that many of the users in this
echo make the moderators job harder. We all share that responsibility to
varying degrees. Some do it deliberately while others see the behaviour
of others and also see what the moderator does about such behaviour and
then act in kind.

     Felten as moderator has given up as indicated by posts stating as much
in this very echo. He has stated that he does not actually moderate this
echo but instead lets the users moderate themselves. Felten has also stated
that he is tired of dealing with the crap from people in the echo and has
lost the ambition to keep trying. Felten is free to correct me if I have
mis-stated his feelings on the matter.

     As I have stated personally to Felten. I can certainly understand the
feeling of getting fed up and the frustration that builds up. I do not fault
Felten at all for how he feels. The problem that I have with Felten is that
instead of letting someone that still cares about Fidonet and the Fidonews
and this echo have a chance. He stubbornly refuses to reliquish his hold of
the position. It would seem to me that if someone gets to the point of being
burnt out that they make a change to get away from the conditions that were
the cause of the stress and frustration.
