     quit working and have the government pay for their support as much
     as possible.  This is why all a president has to do is promise some
     flying-pig plan that promises to provide income such that they can
     quit their job and live off  the government the rest of their life,
     and everyone will vote for them, despite the fact that there's no
     way such a plan would ever work.

     We've allways called it a "Tax" as far back as I could remember.  The
     main reason being is because when you get your check, and look at the
     stub, you see "Taxes", then under it you see "Federal" and a number,
     "State", and a number, "FICA" and a number, and another Fica line...
     When asked what FICA is they say "Social Security".  That's where they
     get the Tax from ....  If your a self-employed business owner, you then
     fill out a form that gets the income from the schedule C, works a little
     formula through to see if you made enough to pay in on SSI, if so you
     end up spending most of your profiet on your social security.  Again,
     you calculate a percentae of your income and put it on the back of
     the 1040 in a section entitled "Other Taxes", which implies again ...
     it's a "tax".  Now as far as we're not expected to "Pay" for welfare,
     just where the heck do you think the money comes from?  Who do you
     think pays the salary of every government employee?  Anything that is
     "Government Funded" gets paid for in one way, shape, or form from
     taxes collected by the people.  That is, unless of course Iraq decides
     to just donate Trillions of dollars to the USA to spend as they please
     with no expectation to ever pay it back or receive any form of
     compensation for the money.  In other words, you better believe my
     tax dollars are paying for welfare, Food Stamps, and several other
     programs that encourage people to quit their job and start popping out
     babies at the speed of light! Now if there's something I'm missing,
     and the people on Welfare actually pay back the money when they
     do manage to get a job (and most refuse to work once on welfare
     because they make more money without the job!), please correct me.
     Of course, with no mandate that they do repay the money regardless
     of the status of their job, they have no reason to ever get a job
     in the first place to get off of Welfare.
