 BF> go wrong?

Hmmm, is that fuzzy math?

 RW>>>> So it's his colleague's fault.

BF>>> So the boss that ordered him to another job have nothing to do with it?
BF>>> And the boss is the company and how does an employee go against the
boss?

RW>> If that's the case, why is he in deep shit over it?

BF> Ask the boss. The union did and said he was wrong, so....

So the boss and the union agree that he was wrong. Then he should have been
fired.

BF>>>>> Leave it half-finished when the time was out?

RW>>>> Inform whoever he answers to about the situation.

BF>>> As far as I know he did and when he did that they blaimed him for the
BF>>> delay and took that for a cause to fire him.

RW>> Maybe he wasn't doing what they told him.

BF> He was but when tings out of his control happend there isn't much to do.

LOL! He should have quit while he was ahead.

BF>>>>> Being my own I know that sometimes it doesn't work out 100% but next
 RW>> time
BF>>>>> it works out 120% and that is something that has to be calculated
with.

RW>>>> So what you're saying is that he's an independant contracter?

BF>>> Uhhh....try to read it again.

 RW>> "Being my own" ???

BF> I run my own business and I don't know how many times things out of my
control
BF> have happend and instead of 5 hours it take 6 or 7.

But not a day and a half. I used to run my own business too and never had a job
take a day and a half longer than I had estimated. Hours, yes, days, no. In
fact, I've improved on the hours it took to do certain jobs that my predecessor
began and my employees improved upon, by 5 hours. What took them 27 hours to
complete using my planning and instructions, I did in 22 hours to show them
that
my estimate was on the money. I've been out of that business for nearly 10
years
now, and I think I can still do it in 22 hours.

BF>>> Obviously you haven't a clue about how it works with unions here and
 BF>>> going into
BF>>> details with you here in the echo isn't possible but any company can
fire
 BF>>> people

RW>> Of course they can. But the union is there to protect the worker. If
they
RW>> don't, no need for the union.

BF> I knew you wouldn't even try to understand so what's the use of trying to
 BF> explain it.

Try to explain why having a union that does nothing to protect the working
stiff
makes any sense in keeping it around. I've worked with and without unions and
trust me, I prefer working without them around to interfere with my work.

BF>>> but have to go out with a notice first and then it is negotiations
BF>>> between the company and the union that decides how many that have to
 BF>>> leave and when.

RW>> You're leaving a lot out of this story.

BF> Or is it you that doesn't understand.

One cannot understand an incomplete story.

RW>>>> Matter of fact. They cause more problems than they solve.

BF>>> Perhaps that is your experience of it in USA but it sure isn't like
that
 BF>>> here.

RW>> Probably not, since your unions don't protect their members.

 BF> Sigh.....

Wishing they did doesn't do anything. The old cliche' 'wish in one hand and
shit
in the other, then tell me which hand fills up faster'...

BF>>> As far as I know there exist no contract between the company and the
 BF>>> union here.

RW>> Then the company doesn't have to negotiate lay-offs with the union, they
 RW>> can just do it.

BF> Sigh #2. What part in the below do you not understand?

The company goes by the law, which is not a contract with the union. Their
action's are mandated by legislation. An outcome of a grievance is therefore
mandated by a court, rather than a contract between them.

A true union will negotiate a contract within the laws governing employer and
employee.

BF>>> All is regulated by laws and the union is the one that look after the
 BF>>> employees rights
BF>>> and make sure that the company follows the law and when the company and
BF>>> the union disagree it is up to a court to decide.

RW>> What a waste of time.

BF> You being a closed mind right wing wacko I never really expected you to
 BF> understand any of this.

One cannot understand that which is not understandable. Your mind is so closed
to the truth, you argue with your head up your ass.
