That is not correct.  The only export customer flying a GE powerplant is the F
-16E/F, Block 60.  Those are flying for the UAE and are using F110-GE-132
engines.

The only source I have is the guys that work on them and fly them.  I certainl
y could be wrong, but I can guarantee you that they're not.

The first GE engine F16 didn't happen until Block 30.  This was in 1987.

After checking, I was told that blocks ending in zero carry a GE powerplant,
BUT the -100 is not the current engine.  The -129 is.  All US Block x2 aircraft
carry the P&W -229 engine.

Know what?  More flight hours == better training == better pilots.

Oh, now that is just tragic.  They took some poor, unsuspecting F-5 and glued
LERX and a spare tail on it.  Oh the humanity. :)

Man, that just cracks me up.  I wouldn't be surprised to find out the core
structure IS one of their F-5s.
