Ours has too, I think it started when people, whether they are in politics or
not, tried to hard to innovate and change or rather fix something that wasnt
broke.

I graduated from HS in 1982, if I had brought into school a hand held
calculator for any reason, I would have been suspended from school, possibly
expelled if it was an exam situation.

Fast forward to today..

Graphing Calculators are a requirement and students whom dont have one can get
penalized, it blows my mind!

The generation that is responsible for all of our recent and not so recent
technological advances got by without calculators, (late 70's on) but the
current generation cannot.

Students whom cant get passing grades are coddled instead of them and their
parents or even teachers being held accountable.

I believe we were talking about branches of govt as well.

However be glad that your other govt branches have some oversight over your
judiciary, else that branch could become too powerful.

Here, our judiciary works like so:

The POTUS appoints a nominee to a position, be that the USSC or other federal
court.

The Senate has to approve that nominee, advise and consent.

If a judge in this judiciary commits a crime, violates his oath of office or
the constitution, the Congress has the power to impeach and then remove that
judge.

On the other hand, the Federal Judiciary has the authority to oversee the other
2 branches of govt on the constitutionality of their actions or legislation
they render.

Without looking into it further, I assume your govt has similiar checks and
balances.

Separate but equal branches of govt, each overseeing the other.
