    Thanks, but I thought the goal here (In your eyes) was for the
inhabitants of this echo to self-moderate? If that is the case then
when the users need to tell each other to stop it shows that
self-moderation isn't working. Hmmm... an echo with say 10..25..100
moderators all telling each other to follow their interpretation of
the rules. What makes Elmer's version of whats right any more right
or wrong than say Fred's version? The result as I see it is that we
will have X number of people all thinking that they are right.

    I'm sure that self-moderation could work given the right echo and
group of users. But given that this echo has been a free-for-all for
so long and considering your moderating style and the rather diverse
group of users that we have here. I still submit that self-moderation
isn't likely to work. I wouldn't mind if everyone here was willing to
prove me wrong though. But I will not be holding my breath.
