Hi Ross,
Quoting: Ross Cassell to Herman Neut
Date/Time: 04-May-07 / 15:56:52
Subject: Shootings
HN>> Whahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! :-)))))))))))))))))))). It is ONLY
HN>> _my_ nodenumber that counts, dear Ross
RC> Not when you showed someone elses node number in the kludges.
I still showed my own identity!
I could have shown another nodenumber in the origin. But I did NOT
I could have manipulated seenby and path. I did NOT
RC> The reader I use was originally coded by Odinn Sorenson, when I
RC> went to your forged message in FN_SYSOP, and went through the
RC> motions to reply to it via netmail, I pressed the N key (Quote
RC> Reply elsewhere) it addressed the message using Roys address, not
RC> yours
RC> Are you saying you know better than one of Fidonets past but most
RC> notable software authors, ie Odinn Sorenson????
RC> The kludges have other uses, and arent useless simply because your
RC> software might be too brain dead to use them
Not relevant.
My TerMail uses always the MSGID for everything it is intended to use for.
So for crashnetmail replying too. And not only for msg tracking
Don't you think I'm that stupid , because you donot seem to understand
anything about my software.
RC> In the visible headers alone:
RC> === Cut === = FN_SYSOP (1:123/456)

RC> === Cut ===
RC> Thats friggin bad enough Herman and you know it.
RC>>> *@MSGID: 1:397/22 46390ced *@PID: GED+W32 snapshot-2002.9.29

HN>> And so what?
RC> Its wrong Herman, far more people use software that does utilize
RC> the kludges for dupe detection, addressing of replies etc etc.
So does mine Ross.
The only possible "target" of this "mutant" MSGID was Mr Witt
He only could bombed by (crash)netmail replies when that MSGID kludge was
used for a reply to (as my and your software do)
RC> Dont imprint onto everyone else the limitations of your software
RC> simply because of the fact that it may not use the kludges or
RC> worse, dont imprint upon us all simply because your understanding
RC> of the kludge lines is lacking
What are you trying to say Ross?
HN>> I just was showing RW his daily behaviour in Fidonet. All his BS
HN>> should be responded by crash netmail to his TwitFilter
RC> If you can see Roys daily behavior, why are you so fucking
RC> arrogant to think others cant see it either, so why must you
RC> resort to doing that which you find detestable
RC> Old Saying from the Netherlands:
RC> "Two wrongs dont make a right"
Like hanging a murderer?
RC> Worse yet, you take it one step further and forge a message to
RC> make it look like it was from Roy
Don't be stupid Ross.
Display of kludges are normally switched-of. (I have them ON by default)
But the nodenumber (of the originator!!!) is always shown (cannot be
hidden) in the origin line.
In other words: I showed my ID ! Period!
Hint: Look at the last 100 MSGS in FN_SYSOP. How many is daily TRASH from
Roy and from you?
HN>> And: Want to see how many MSGs have a MSGID kludge? Want to see
HN>> how many different formats in the MSGID kludges are used?
HN>> There seems to be _no_ standard
RC> That does not make it ok for you to make them look like they come
RC> from a system which did not originate it
Everyone could see who was the originator. Or can't you read???
RC> You dont know enough about the kludge line to speak authoritively
RC> of them, nor does your limited understanding of them negate the
RC> uses others have for them
Says Mr Knowitall. ROTFL!
RC> Why dont you consult Michiel Van Der Vlist or Michiel Broeck about
RC> them, I imagine Felten would venture to educate you
No need Ross.
RC> In the end, I dont think you are advocating people fly differing
RC> node numbers in the header versus the origin lines, are you Herman
No. I am not and I will not.
I just got my target with that echomail : Roy Witt and Ross Cassell.
Are You and Roy advocating people to dump trash everyday in FN_SYSOP and
FIDONEWS? Just because there is a Z2 moderator?
HN>> AND:
HN>> What ROY can do, can I do too!!!!
RC> All of the messages Roy has posted which has you trying to mimic
RC> him, have come with no alterations of address info in any field,
RC> otherwards everything points to his node number
Very nice and decent Boy Roy :-)))))
RC> Of course you still havent figured out that he has long been
RC> trying to get a rise out of you, thing is, unlike you, he has not
RC> had to resort to forging kludge lines to do it
RC> Bjorn Forsstrom is trying to get me to ignore the stuff you all
RC> say, why arent you ignoring Roy, why are you resorting to forgin
RC> kludge lines? The real question is also why isn't Forsstrom trying
RC> to get you to ignore Roy
HN>> Very clever of you, Rossi, to found out I have copied and pasted
HN>> RW his header kludges. His tearline and the text in his origin
HN>> too. I _could_ even have copied his nodenumber into the origin
HN>> line, but I did NOT
RC> What you did copy in, translated into real info.
HN>> And what I did, could be moticed by every fido user.
RC> any Fido system that imports control lines into the message base,
RC> yes sir.
Like I do myself
It only effected one : Mr R. Witt
And only 1 MSG was manipulated.
That is quite something other stuff than all those daily trash from you 2.
HN>> What is your BIG point???
RC> I already pointed that out.
Yes you DID :-)))))))))
RC> The second point would obviously be that if Roy had done this with
RC> your info, you would be wanting his head
:-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
You really make my day, Ross
:-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
RC>>> Most readers will use the control info to ascertain the reply
RC>>> address, in this case someone wanting to send a netmail response
RC>>> to that message would be sending said response to Roy, even tho
RC>>> you are the true author and origination of the message
HN>> And that is wrong!
HN>> The adress in the origin line counts and should be used.
RC> Thats your opinion which you cannot imprint onto how the software
RC> of others should operate, I doubt you should be holding both your
RC> opinion or termail as the penultimate measuring stick
No not only my opinion
But my software too uses the MSGID kludge for reply-, msgtracking and other
purposes.
So, again, what you are telling about my software is big nonsense.
HN>> Speaking about "childish play", you and your buddy are playing
HN>> every day little boy games.
RC> What games am I playing, I aint forging messages.
