Banning handguns would make it much more difficult for folks to kill
each other with handguns, regardless of nationality.

The Japanese have a very bloody history, as the peoples of Asia have
learned so well.  A militaristic Japan invaded large swaths of Asia and
the Pacific, raping and killing civilians throughout China, Indonesia,
Korea, the Philippines, and many other places.  Even today, the Chinese
consider the Japanese as being "barbarians".  Koreans, Filipinos, and
others also view the Japanese in the same light. And who can blame them?
BTW, not many American veterans of WWII like the Japanese.  Especially
those who were held as POWs by the Japanese.

The Japanese leadership pays homage to their WWII heroes, and want
to return their country into the Land of the Rising Sun.
