Only if you could have shown he was doing it for everyone, but the thing is, he
had passworded you out and in reality, experiment or not, you had no real
reason to have to, much less want to connect with him.

When I first became R18C in June 1998, one of the first orders of Fido business
I had to contend with was deal with a policy complaint filed by Roy against
Bobby Queen, whom was a regional independent node at the time.

The first thing I did was ask Roy if he really wanted to pursue the matter and
if there was anything that would prompt him to withdraw the complaint. He
wanted Bobby to apologize.

I approached Bobby and relayed the info to him, Bobby apologized, Roy withdrew
his complaint, end of story.

This did not infer that I felt Roy had a strong case or a weak one, but I
managed to get both parties to shake hands without the nastiness of a policy
complaint.

In this case, you using your influence as both his friend and NC goes alot
further than saying what is or is not your job.

How many times has Neut, Mohn or Forsstrom chastized us for not minding to our
own?

In context, if I told Roy he should stop his posts, he wouldnt listen to me,
but unlike Herman, I know he is only doing it to (A) Get a rise out of you all,
for which it seems it bugs Herman moreso than anyone else, and (B) he is
protesting the current individual whom is MINO (Moderator in name only).
