What I figured out, not using rocket science, is that the host names as
advertised in the nodelist do not correspond to the listed binkp servers. How
can that be anything but "wrong"? As for expecting... well things like that are
to be expected when a nodelist segment is no longer actively maintained and
contains mostly dead wood.

I did not have a tool to do a reverse lookup at hand. So I figured I would let
someone else pursue that avenue...

Well.. that sort of confirms my conclusion doesn't it?

Doing a bit of thinking was a lot less work than searching for a way to do a
reverse lookup under Windows. And I made no more assumptions in the process
than you did.

There are.  Plus some annoying pop-ups.

Which is annoying.

It is one of the reasons I moved away from opendns. I prefer a service that
returns an honest "host not found" error when that is the case. Irex keeps
trying for a minute when there is an IP number, but no binkp server. When it
gets a "host not found" error, it breaks the connection right away.
