You really need to consult a dictionary. The word wife insinuates that
there is a formal ceremony.

Common-law marriage, sometimes called de facto marriage, informal marriage
or marriage by habit and repute, is a form of interpersonal status that is
legally recognized in some jurisdictions as a marriage even though no

contract is entered into or the marriage registered in a civil registry.

If you are living in a common law marriage with your boyfriend, do you
call him your wife or are you the wife? Or are you husband and husband?

You should consult the bible on that. I merely showed you were 'wife' was
mentioned in the bible.

I guess there is no such word as wife in the bible then? Afterall, that's
all that you asked for, but now you want me to explain it to you. If you
can't do your own research, why don't you ask a clergyman.
