Irex uses it. Not like you're thinking, but it does use it.

Do you mean your bink system won't attempt a connection without the listed
node in your configuration? Of course it won't.

You're all set up here, all you have to do is figure out what the password
is. This took less than a 30 seconds.


This is how the link config would look. Note that you can have triple
security by using packet level, encryption and session passwords. And if
you wish, you can also have a password to use for areafix requests.

Irex doesn't have a problem configuring points...To make it easy, all he
would have to do is send his segment for Irex to read. Of course, if it
has to be done by manual input, that's also possible.
