I mistakenly stated that it was, but have taken your word for it that E85
is what you claim it to be in my last packet.

This is an article from 2006, and is not a quote from MB, but the facts in
the entire article back up what I and Robert have been saying. Especially
the corrosive nature of ethenol use in vehicles not designed for it.

Also, the environmental impact of refining it far outweigh that of fossil
fuels when you consider the entire process.

That's not exactly a 50% mix of ethenol and gasoline is it. This is what
you've been claiming and it is incorrect.

LOL! We understood you to say that you mixed 50% ethenol to 50%
gasoline, but now we know that wasn't exactly what you did.

You're now saying that you mixed 50% of E85, which is 85% ethenol and 15%
gasoline with an equal part of gasoline.

So now you have a mixture of 85% ethenol and 115% gasoline.

That's not a 50/50 mixture of ethenol and gasoline, which is what you
were claiming and would have us believe.

How hard was that?

I think even that will need more explanation on your part. For instance,
aren't there any MBs like the one you imported, in Europe, that you
could buy? You've wasted an awful lot of resources just to have an old MB
to kick around in.
