Yes. We get confortable with one thing and don't want to make a change to

Same here. My European cars were limited because of my dad, who instilled
'buy American' in me at a young age. He also said that if you do buy
European, buy German, the rest are junk. I too had a 128 Sport Coupe and
true to his words, they are junk. But, so was my VW Beatle.

Any American car of the big car era is great for that. I owned Fords too,
but graduated to Chevies in the early 60s. I inherited a 63 Ford Galaxy
500 convertible when the X moved back to Illinois. Sold it right away.

I had a 37 Plymouth pickup when I was about 21yo...great truck, but my
brother borrowed it and blew up the motor. I also had a 53 Dodge D500 with
the Red Ram hemi engine in it. That was a great car, but like all
Chrysler products, it was also junk. Sold it to a junk yard and the 'yard
man' cut off the top and trunk lid and used it for his 'yard car'...I had
previously welded the driver's door shut because the locking mechanism
was rusted out.

I like GM engineering and probably will never change to another
manufacturer in this lifetime. I did buy a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo for a service
vehicle back in 2007. It was more than I thought it would be and was a
great ride. I ended up trading it for a 79 Malibu in 2009.
