I used to work the weekend graveyard shift in an Omaha hospital.  Early one
morning
the X-Ray tech saw me in the hall and told me to come in and look at an X-Ray
she'd
just processed.  An idiot and his girl friend were drunk and playing with each
other, and
managed to push a long-necked beer bottle up into his colon.  The bottle showed
clearly 
on the X-ray, along with his spinal column - and the bent coat hanger they'd
used to try 
to pull the bottle back out (it had perforated his intestine).

Emergency abdominal surgery and a colostomy to remove the bottle, and more
surgery a
couple of weeks later to remove the colostomy after his colon had healed.

I'm sure a copy of that X-ray (with identifying markings removed) is in at
least one 'funny file' and probably in several.

One runs into all sorts of oddities in the course of one's work.  In the 20 or
so years I worked
in various hospitals I printed *tens of thousands* of bills and account
statements.  Out of all of those only one is memorable - and I only saw it
because it was the last one that morning and thus on top of the stack when I
removed it from the printer.  The total was $1,234,567.89.  Really.

I just had the front end of my Ramcharger rebuilt (the steering was *really*
loose) and the tab
for that was exactly $1,000.00.
