Perhaps it all started with the incessant criticism of the USA, by you and a
couple others?

Cause and effect Michiel, as a alleged physicist, you know what cause and
effect is, dont you?

You believe that people over here are dieing in the streets for lack of

Nevermind the fact that the British Navy was intercepting our merchant fleet
and impressing our sailors into service for them.

Canada was the closest avenue to striking at Great Britain, since it was fully
under the control of Great Britian and not yet a country.

Note I do not claim US Victory in that war, beyond the victory at the Battle
For New Orleans which occurred after the treaty of Ghent, however people on
your side of the pond and in the great white nawth, ignore Britians
transgressions on the high seas.
