Paypal is available because customers have shied away from giving the
vendor their credit card info online, even on supposedly 'secure' pages. I
wouldn't give anyone my CC info online after having the experience of a
crook who tried to debit my bank account with my CC info. From then on, if
your site did't take Paypal, I let you know about it and refused to buy
there until you do.

Like a gentleman in Australia (yes there are some there) told me to use a
certain shipping method to send him a carburator that I sold him on Ebay.
It went by 'slow boat to china' first. I was amazed at the super cheap
shipping rates.

Paypal also reacts when you complain. No difference there.

Transactions through Paypal have a safety net not unlike the credit card
companies, not to mention a guarantee of money back if the seller's
transaction is a fraud.

I've never heard of such and Paypal is growing, as I see more and more
sites that have Paypal as a payment option.

Not really. It depends on the employee of any vendor to be an honest
person. i.e. My bank account was comprimised by an Amazon employee. I
don't buy from them as a result of that.

I frequent a few websites with other users who have a common interest in
the cars that I own. One thing that impresses me about it is the 'parts
for sale' forum where you can buy/sell using the preferred method of
payment: Paypal. 'charge this to my paypal account' - z28krazy@xxx.xxx
