Hello Roy.

RW> he had in Germany. We both worked at Boeing and on the boat, after.
RW> When we left Seattle, it wasn't quite finished and the investment was

I've seen some very good converted lifeboats, the ship I bought off the
canadian was a 62 1/2 foot steel Ketch rigged motor sailer I had it for a
decade (1990 - 2000) and exchanged it for a house and land on an Island just
off Auckland 5 hectares of hill top with 360 degree views. It wasn't worth much
then but now it is worth in six figures several times. Big boat prices were at
a premium then because of the America's cup. Dale the canadian guy drowned in a
kayaking accident in 2003 when he found a water fall he didn't know was there
and didn't stop in time.

SA>> The other was a very arrogant French Canadian, 2IC of our
SA>> security at my University. He looked down on any one who didn't
SA>> speak French or understood it until one morning he got on the
SA>> wrong side of Dutch man who managed one of the other departments
SA>> and got a jolly good telling off in French from the guy who was
SA>> fluent in French, English, Dutch, and German. If I remember he
SA>> left a short time after the exchange.

RW> The Scot I had to work with when I got to San Diego was one of those
RW> guys and he was the leader in our job. He'd get mad when I continously
RW> asked him to repeat himself. Then his mood changed from good to bad
RW> and I couldn't understand anything he said. Eventually I took my que
RW> from the owner who translated what the Scot had said.

He needed sub titles then.

RW>>> PS - I've never heard anyone in the south pronounce roof as
RW>>> ruff. That would confuse everyone because there is a word we
RW>>> use; rough - that is pronounced like that.

SA>> In England we say Roof like woof (doggy talk) ruff is a bit rough
SA>> I never heard of a roof before I landed in New Zealand where they
SA>> say Roof as in Boot.

RW> Boot, Roof, Woof, Zoo, all sound alike here.

Sounds like you have effeminate dogs then :)

Stewart
