I did bot ask wjat Wikipedia says about him, I asked if YOU has heard about
him. You had to look it up, so obviously the answer is "no".

A very good comparison I'd say. I have never heard of Jerry Falwell. His
unfluence on my life was zero. OTOH, ask anyone of my generation in The
Netherlands about Lou de Palingboer and I am sure the vast majority will at
least have heard of him.

You were born in the USA. It is only natural that you ara far more interesrted
in what happens thare than the average European.

I will write "our" when I want. I know that I am by far not the onl one who
feels like this. I read papars, I have a fair idea of what interests people in
this pasrt of the world. And it is not US evangelists...

The media here do not have a constant telescope on the US. As I worte, it is
only 5% of the earth population...

Piet Lieftink was the first post WWII Dutch minister of finance. He declared
all existing money invalid and gave everyone a tenner to start all over again.
