Dunn provided entertainment for millions of people throughout
the world.  His untimely death is a tragedy, not just for his fans,
but also for his family, relatives, and friends.  And do not forget
about his passenger, who was also killed.  That is another tragedy.

We should all weep with shame that so many folks here in America "go
to bed at night hungry and homeless.  We should all weep with shame
that "Thousands more are losing their homes because there is no work,
no jobs".  We should all weep with shame that politicians are more
interested in furthering their own agendas rather than finding and
implementing solutions for problems we have here at home.  But none
of that has anything to do with the topic at hand.  The fact remains
that two people are dead - Ryan Dunn and his passenger.

What has that got to do with the death of Ryan Dunn and his passenger?

Ryan Dunn was working, had money, had a home ...

Who says he was drunk?  Who says his passenger was drunk?  All
that is known is that the car he was driving left the roadway at
a very high rate of speed and burst into flames, killing both
Ryan and his passenger in the process.

TR>driving. In 2005 he wrecked another car he was driving while drunk.

Might have been.  But that was then.  This is now.

TR>He went through a program that got the charges dismissed, but he

We do not know why he lost control of the car he was driving.  Maybe
he was drunk.  Maybe not.  It could have been the result of mechanical
failure.  Maybe one of the tires on his car had a blowout.  We simply
do not know, since neither he nor his passenger is alive to tell the
tale.

At least Roger Ebert apologized, saying "I was probably too quick to
tweet.  That was unseemly."  The picture of Dunn drinking with his
buddies has been taken down, Ebert has apologized, and Bam is slowly
getting over the loss of his best friend.

As for Jimi Hendrix, he was a victim of foul play, having been
murdered by his manager.  But given that all the parties are dead,
nobody is talking.  As such, that conspiracy will always remain an
unsolved murder (even though all the fingers point only in one
direction).

Hendrix will always be remembered as having been one of the greatest
musicians of all time.  I'm not so sure about Dunn being remembered for
his acting prowess...

We know very little about what really happened.  Making assumptions
will not change the facts.  Dunn was driving.  We know that.  Dunn was
driving at a very high rate of speed.  We know that.  Dunn lost control
of the car.  We know that.  The car left the roadway.  We know that.
The car burst into flames.  We know that.  Dunn is dead.  We know that.
Dunn's passenger is dead.  We know that.  What we do not know is the
cause.  That is mere speculation.  For all we know Dunn was sober as
can be but tried to avoid getting into a head-on collision with a
mack truck that was in the wrong lane...

It certainly wasn't for lack of trying.  The man was indestructable.
Or so he thought.  As did everybody else.  Until the other day.
