No, I would not.

But taking a job seriously and doing it right involves making choices and
decisions. You can't please everyone all of the time and it would only be a
matter of time until I made a choice or a decision that would not be to the
liking of mr. Cassel. And from then on I'd be a dictator, no matter what. I
know, it has happened before. Ask Ward about when he was IC. That also went
fine until he made a decision that did not fall well with the Z1 powers that
be.

The only way to avoid that would be to just sit on the chair and do absoluteley
nothing. But then of course I wuld be harped for doing nothing.

When was the last time YOu wrote an article?

The odd thing is that these rumours about bad reacheability and articles
refused all come from a very small number of very vocal sysops. *I* never had a
problem getting an article published. Have you?

Most people have short memories. Björn would soon be forgotten and then I would
be under the microscope.

Says who?

I would not try to "take over".

The only one that "took it" was the first editor Tom Jennings. From then on a
new editor has always been appointed by his predecessor. With one regretable
exception, when Doug Myers died in office and the ZC1 appointed a new editor.

Regrettable not only because the editor died, but also for the very bad
precedent of the ZC1 grabbing the authority to appoint a new editor. That was a
slap in the face of the readers in other zones.
