YEah I know, that's why I like a dedicated screen access
program, and especially my old favorite dos screenreader.
IT lets me customize very well, in this app ignore this part of the screen
unless the text changes, read this part, in
usenet and fido messages filter quoting, etc. etc.  Just so
darned customizable.  I've used others, but i keep coming
back to it because it's so durned customizable for the way I want to work with
something.

YEp, real similar.  I know blind folks that do that sort of
thing in telephone support, but a lot folks I know who do
phone work find that although braille displays are quite
limited compared to speech they're preferable.  I've written my own contest
logger which outputs its log in cabrillo
format for arrl for the same reason.
<still wishing for that full 25 line by 40 char braille
display that acts like a page of a book <dream on>  IT would be a nightmare to
maintain and spendy as hell if they ever
developed it.

YEah, but it's the handshake hello ol' buddy ol' pal without the subpoena
that's a sticking point.  YEah it's the
internet, and who knows who's snooping and where they're
snooping from, and mine wouldn't be of that much interest to anybody unless
you're hoping to steal my audio business, or
listen in on an indiscreet confidence from a friend, but
still, it's mine once I receive it, and if somebody else
wants it they need to either use some force or the
appropriate court documents to get it.  As I said, I'm one
of those libertarian privacy nuts <g>>
