I'm not sure, I'd have to check but I think that these web based forums like
PHbb don't have the threading that say a standard bbs does.  I could be wrong
though.  Even usenet groups have some threading available..

No kidding.  That kind of knowledge save me more than once when on the road..
Dad made sure we all knew how to do those basic things - 5 girls and 1 boy in
our family <grin>.  He knew the fact that 5 of us were women couldn't cut any
excuses.

I bet.. especially when the roads are affected and they are trying to work
through that.

As far as Fidonet goes, at least we do have some good tutorials for setting up
out there which is something.  Once they're set up and going, getting new guys
in office also helps get them in some "real-time experience" with dealing with
net issues.

Ah, ok, I can see how that can be rough on the ham side of things.

Yes, we certainly have a lot of folks around who can point people in the right
direction for information.
