Hello Everybody,

Just when you thought it was safe to go into the water...

In a message written by Janis Kracht to Michiel van der Vlist
in the FN_SYSOP echo dated November 17, 2011 this is what I found -

"You are the NAB's head honcho."

"No, I am not the NAB's head honcho.."

Well then, if Janis Kracht is not the NAB's head honcho,
then who is?

"If we have one, it would be Ross, or Bob."

Claiming ignorance, the Ice Queen makes reference to
co-conspirators Ross Cassell and Bob Seaborn.

"I set it up."

Wow!  The Ice Queen immediately contradicts herself,
claiming she did it all by herself!

"I wouldn't doubt the same was true of Ross and Bob.."

And then gives credit to her two co-conspirators!

A conspiracy, by definition, is comprised of two or more
people.  In this particular case, it is a conspiracy of three,
hence the term "troika" being used to describe them.

"..though I don't know if that was the case offhand."

Stupidity is no excuse.

"There is no present operating procedure on the Z1 Backbone
that deals with this however so one would normally go back to
previous requirements, which would be `echolist is necessary'
to get an echo listed on the backbone..."

Spoken like a true dictator, the Ice Queen makes stuff up.
There is no mention in P4, or in any previous or existing
Fidonet document, about an echolist of any kind.  Nor could
I find any mention of "Z1 Backbone" or "star systems" etc.

But what the hey.  The only procedure a dictator needs
is his/her own.  The Red Queen only had to give the word -
"Off with his head!"  Fortunately for the King, nobody
really paid any attention to what the Red Queen said.

".. which is WHY one still sees posts in the Z1.BACKBONE
echo with elist replies, and subjects of `Please add'"

Along with "Please remove from distribution", by Jack Yates,
in reference to the WHATS_HOT echo.  Of course, that message
was ignored by Ross Cassell (and by extenstion Janis Kracht).

The fact of the matter is no echolist was ever necessary
to get an echo listed or distributed.  However, in Z1, what
was/is necessary is the Ice Queen's consent (directly or
indirectly).

"It's easier now.. at one point, one also had to have 3 RCs
or RECs request the echo, IIRC."

That makes sense.  After all, why should a dictator have
to get permission from anybody else?  All the Ice Queen has
to do is to wave her magic wand and her will shall be done.

through hoop to keep it OFF the backbone."

And even then, such a stated desire by a moderator is
not respected by the troika.  Case in point, Ross Cassell's
hijacking of the WHATS_HOT echo, AFTER Jack Yates asked the
WHATS_HOT echo to be removed from distribution.

"Really?  And your experience with listing echos on
the Z1 echolist with another person as moderator is exactly
what?"

None.  Absolutely none.  The Ice Queen and her cohorts are
the echo thieves.  Not me.  :)

I will not disagree with that comment.
