No, I use the 26 characters of the English alphabet. Derived from
ancient Arabic (see Greek and Phoenician), Roman, Latin and eventually
old English to Modern English.

Aljazeera TV uses Arabic, which is derived Ancient Arabic. Unless you're
viewing their English language pages.

Gather your English speaking grandchildren around you and ask them to show
you how to read English for comprehension.

Well, yes it is. American English is the advanced version of the old
English still used in Britian and former British colonial countries such
as Australia, Canada, India, South Africa, etc..

FYI; the present Queen of England tried to get these people to learn how
to spell by listening to the pronounciation of words. That went over like
a lead baloon...

Texan, aka Tejas, was originally Spanish...USAians brought with them a
variety of English before Tejas was converted to Texas. Within 15 years as
a state in the USA, they had to learn to put a 'southern drawal' on a lot
of words just so they could communicate with the other umpteen states that
wanted to create a Confederation of states.

Other than Chinese farmers, mine workers and fishermen, English is used in
China as a businessman's language. And these speak English as if they were
living in Atlanta, Georgia.

They used to speak Dutch in New York, but no one could understand them, so
they switched to English.

Spanish as spoken in New York is of the Puerto Rican island and is a
language all its own in New York, aka; it is not specifically Spanish as a
Spaniard would recognize it.

i.e. I correspond with a New York City Puerto Rican who is trying to teach
me the difference between bastardized Spanish and the real thing. He's
from New York and posts what is said there as not being what they use in
Columbia, a Spanish speaking country.
