And if Bjorn had not been "moderator" of the old echo and had not
simultaneously been one of the main violators of the customary rules of
politeness, there would have been no need for any kind of control. An echo
participant who gets out of hand can be toned down one way or another.

But how do you tone down a moderator who thinks it's his God-given right to put
down a specific section of echo participants in the most unflattering terms in
practically every message, without taking the step of removing him? You don't
"moderate" an echo by throwing oil on a fire.

We went through this with Helmut Hullen, don't forget we in R24 have experience
with such "moderators". I could only wish that our procedure for removal of a
moderator - which still applies, although it was only used once - were not
limited to R24.

I'm loyal to myself, but I do have a preference for people who don't libel me,
which naturally excludes Bjorn.

And incidentally, you're so sensitive to being called names yourself, I wonder
that you apparently think it perfectly OK when you refer to Janis. One of the
problems we had in the old echo was name calling - and not by only one side.
Why do we have to repeat that here?

That sounds like a threat. I would hope I'm mistaken, since it would be pretty
pointless to simply turn this echo into a battlefield again, and would invite a
repeat of the reaction we've already experienced. I don't really think that
would serve any of us.
