Hello Björn,
RC>> Too bad you can never achieve this,
BF>Sorry, Mr. Cesspool, but you are completely wrong there. I and a
BF>milliard more can easily achieve this.
Apparently you have never tried to convert a true believer. :)
BF>All we need is an internet that is not infected by that MAFIAA that
BF>you hold so dearly.
Facts (no matter where they are found) are of no importance to a true
believer. What you and others should be striving for is an open and
free internet, one that allows all points of view, including warped
points of view based on nothing but gossip and hearsay.
RC>> Radical Muslims are waiting for the day when all will be converted..
BF>Says who? Fox News I presume?
Fox News - Rich people paying Rich people to tell Middle Class people
to blame Poor people.
RC>> Radical christians...
BF>Oh yes, those are the worst of all.
Yeah. And look what happened. The Jews pegged Him to a tree.
RC>> Just what was that mid 20th century German tyrant trying to do??
BF>What tyrant would that be? You USAians (or rather your CIA -- no
BF>blame must be cast upon the US John Doe here) supported so many
BF>dictators in those days, it's hard to keep up.
And the world was better off as a result of that support.
For example, we installed Shah Pahlavi in Iran. And he kept
the peace for decades, saving Israel (and the world) from
imminent destruction. But when France allowed the Ayatollah
Khomeini to have a place to stay, a revolution in Iran got
started. The Shah was forced to depart from his beloved
country, and the mad ayatollah was installed by France to
replace him. Today the followers of the mad ayatollah are
in power, and are building nukes to put on top of their
missiles in order to wipe Israel off the face of this earth.
This action will most certainly lead to a worldwide holocaust,
destroying not only Jews, but also everybody else on this
planet. So please. Do not blame the USA for trying to
save the world. We did our part.
We also supported other dictators. Such as Somoza in Nicaragua.
He kept the peace for decades in that area of the world. And
look what happened. Communists assassinated him, installed a new
dictator (Daniel Ortega), and started recruiting followers. Today,
the same dictator who replaced Somoza is in power, along with his
buddies in Cuba and Venezuela. Of course, we all know that Daniel
Ortega was freely elected (and re-elected) president of Nicaragua.
And also that Hugo Chavez was elected (and re-elected) president of
Venezuela. Raul Castro was also elected president of his country,
but in a different sort of way, having had to step in for his ailing
brother.
We kept the peace in the Middle East by installing dictators in
various countries, such as Egypt. Can you imagine what the world
would be like today had there not been a Camp David Accords? For
one thing, the state of Israel would have ceased to exist...
RC>> Now go back to being a scientist and return to school, repeat realism
RC>> 101.
BF>Pray tell, what realism would that be? The South Carolina KKK
BF>realism, perhaps? The happy days from the early 20th century, when
BF>you guys celebrated every Saturday night stringing up a nigger or
BF>two -- with your kids cheering by the side.
Our nation was founded on blood. In fact, our entire history
is one of bloodshed. Not only from making war on others, but also
by making war on ourselves. Just look at our flag. There is a
reason why it is RED, white and blue.
I doubt that you are familiar with a lynching. At one time it was
fairly common, especially in areas of the Deep South. Not only was
a black man strung up on a tree, but his entire family was also at
risk. Before being strung up, a black man was usually castrated.
Not through the use of chemicals, but with a knife. A rope was then
hung up from a tree branch, with a noose placed around the black man's
neck. Sometimes a horse was used, with the black man allowed to sit
for a short period of time. If no horse could be found, some other
platform could be used. In rare cases, the black man survived.
Events such as this continued until the mid-1960s. I knew a black
man who survived a lynching. A preacher. Not only was he castrated,
and left with scars around his neck, but his house was set on fire,
killing his wife and two of his children.
He personally knew the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., and also marched
for civil rights (as did many others, both black and white). He later
remarried, and continued to raise his children who were still alive.
However, he was unable to have relations with women, given his injuries.
His wife and children understood that. As well as his friends. But
due to his nature he had to have sex. That left him only one option.
As a result, he would check into a hotel, along with a male friend.
He continued preaching at his church, his congregation never being
critical of him for his private affairs, as they knew what was done
to him and his family. When he passed away, everybody knew what he
died of. Nobody said it, not out of shame, but rather out of respect.
All acts of violence should be condemned - by everyone.
And yet, so many people cheer when this country goes to war.
Or when an individual is exectuted for having committed a
heinous crime. Where is justice? Is there any justice in
this world?
Maybe what this country needs is a dose of its own medicine -
It has been a while since we had public executions. In the old
days we used to swing folks from a rope, using a tree branch to hold
the rope. When the crowds got bigger, we started using the courthouse,
tying the rope from the roof, allowing all to watch the spectacle.
Sometimes it would take a few minutes for the condemned to die, but
only if the noose wasn't fit tight enough around the neck. At other
times death was instantaneous, with the head popping off. But when
done right, the condemned dies quickly with his/her head still attached.
But always with his/her tongue sticking way out. That's what happens
in a hanging. The tongue always sticks out in the end.
Some folks started complaining about those public hangings, given
that every now and then an accident took place (such as a head popping
off). But those complaints were quickly taken care of, especially
when electricity was invented (thanks to Thomas Edison). A new
method of execution was soon developed, allowing the condemned to
sit down during the process. Although there was some early controversy
as to whether it was better to use AC or DC, the end result was the
same. Westinghouse got the contract, and "Old Sparky" came to life.
The electric chair was sent on tour throughout the state, allowing
each courthouse in every city to hold public executions. The crowd
would gather in the square as "Old Sparky" was set up on the roof,
with the condemned strapped in. When the switch was pulled, the
audience was delighted at the show, as foam came out of the mouth
of the condemned, as well as smoke rising from his/her scalp.
We have also used other methods to kill people, such as the gas
chamber, firing squad, and the needle. While some folks might argue
there is no humane way to kill somebody, the crowds love it. So
maybe it would be a good thing to hold public executions once again.
Only this time, put the events live on television, during prime time.
And give viewers the choice of method (hanging, firing squad, gas
chamber, electocution, lethal injection, drowning, fire, etc.).
BF>Give it a rest already. In case you haven't realized it,
BF>there's nobody here that will take responsibility for what
BF>happened centuries ago.
Who killed Jesus? We all did. And continue doing so today.
But that is not the answer you wanted. So I'll be a bit more serious.
Should the USA (President/Congress) apologize for slavery? We
apologized to Japanese and Japanese Americans for having interned
them during WWII. Our president apologized to Muslims for burning
their holy book. We have shown our capacity to apologize, but do
find it difficult to do so. Other countries are no different.
The only exception that I can think of is the apologies given
by Germany to the Jews. This is shameful (to both Germans and
Jews). Why? Because it makes Jews perpetual victims. And that
is clearly not the intention of Germans, who are quite tired of
apologizing to the world for what an evil regime did seventy
years ago.
End of rant for the day. :)
