Hi Roy,

On Sat 2012-Mar-10 07:02, Roy Witt (1:387/22) wrote to Richard Webb:

YEp, a friend of mine has Hughes. I'm waiting to hear from
him about reverse engineering their interface so he can
figure out how to run it off his emergency battery baqnk
without having to put his ups on it which he wants to do to
gain efficiency.

Yeah can relate. I'm waiting until I can get moved, because a big part of what
i want/need to do for my business plans
require me to run my own ftp server for clients to access to get product
occasionally, that's the only way I'll go back
into that game instead of overnighting compact disks to
clients, and if they want it compressed (the audio that is)
they need to do the compression, so that any strange
atrifacts introduced are on their end.

Yeah, I think he'll be back once he replaces a ups and some
other hardware he wants to replace. LImited hours shared
phone line, but he'll be back. I need to give him a jingle
anyway.

I think he keeps his email ad pretty close to the vest, some family and a
couple of very close friends. MOst of his
internet time at the library I think is doing research and
the like, and FIdonet how he got his discussion fix.

See my note to Bjorn on one suggestion I gave him re the
terrestrial rf broadband guys, and a friend from MInnesota's solution a few
years ago.

Regards,
           Richard
