This is true.   AS I keep saying to people, echomail is
discussed a few places in p4, mostly in the context of how
we discuss certain bodily functions.  A necessary part of
life, just don't step in it <g>.

True, when discussing the fidonews echo.  When it comes to
the distribution of Fidonews the publication as a stand
alone file however that's a different bucket of worms.

Again, true when it comes to the Fidonews echomail
conference.  When we come to the distribution of Fidonews
the publication standing alone though that's something
different.  Fidonews the publication is specifically
discussed in policy, and concerns about Fidonews the
publication are a matter for the coordinator structure to
deal with.  Imho the production of an alternative
publication, i.e. Fidogazette is legtiimate.  The co-opting
of Fidonews however is legitimately questionable.  I've held this view all
along in this controversy.  I may be
expressing it a bit more bluntly than I have in private
communications but that's been how I see this one from the
start.

IN fact, from the very beginning I have argued forcefully in private
communications that concerns re Fidonews the
publication are a matter for the zcc to take up.  I thought
at the time that some actions taken re the publication were
a bit premature, and expressed that feeling to Janis.  She
and I remain friends, and on that matter have agreed to
disagree.
