Absolute Monarchies, because that is basically what you're refering to, in the
end can only ruin economies because you cannot trust the running of an entire
country to be decided by a single non-trained person based on a random egg
fusing with a random sperm.
 
The monarchies that we know may have a political stabilizing effect though,
they are an extra shock-absorber, they buy essential time during nogotiations
to reach political consensus.
 
Political consensus is necessary as we have a multiple party-system where
"winner takes all" is a thing from the past.
 
But, I remain  an advocate to remove the Royals. They have outlasted their
usefulness here.
 
Havind said that ... the 4 worst monarchies in the world are:
 
* Saudi-Arabia
* Kuwait
* United Arab Emirates
* Abu-Dhabi
 
They all have blatant human rights issues, they all disregard women as a
second-class citizen, they all are un-democratic as can be, there are no
elections, there are no free political parties, there are no trade-unions ...
but ... they have oil.
 
The United States have organized an armada not seen anymore since WW2 to
"liberate" Kuwait and to restore a totally undemocratic despot ruler who
decides over life and death just like a Medieval lord.
 
The United States are assuring the territorial protection of Saudi-Arabia
because it risks to be overrun by others otherwise because of its oil. Therefor
the US are making certain the worst government ever with the worst economy
(actually, there isn't any) with the worst human rights record is maintained
for as long as the oil will flow.
 
Our royals, Ross, are not totalitarian. They are tightly controlled, cannot do
as they please, need to ask permission for everything, even if they want to
fart.
 
We do have a crown-prince in his 50-ies ... his whole life he has been trained
to become something he still isn't. By the time he gets to be "that", other
people retire and enjoy the remaining good years of their life.
 
The case of Pince Charles of Great Britain is even worse ... he's going to be
64 and he still is waiting to become what he has been trained to be.
 
And in order to become "it" a parent must die. I don't think it's such a
fun-filled life you know. Not being allowed to pick your own friends, having to
fornicate with high-end ladies who when reaching orgasm instead of yelling from
the top of their lungs, will only comment 'Jolly good, carry on", never
anonimously go to a bar and have a beer with some real friends ...

If the money-circle is perfectly round, then there is no problem...
 
Greece, Portugal and Spain are not welfare economies, just countries
historically run bad, with or without the Euro-currency they'd be in trouble.
 
Ireland had bad luck but is resurfacing. Nothing welfare either ... the Irish
are a labouring people.

Louis XVI's demise/beheading and Napoleon's rule are completely unrelated, but
