George W. Bush was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2001.
And had he actually been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize you and every
conservative nitwit in FoxNews fantasyland would have been singing
high praises to your Holy One.

So was George W. Bush in 2001.  The difference is that Barack
Hussein Obama actually accomplished something deserving of the
prize, as it was originally defined in 1895 by Alfred Nobel,
who directed Swedish leaders to reward "the person who shall have
done the most or best work for fraternity between the nations and
the aolition or reduction of standing armies and the formation
and spreading of peace congresses."

There is absolutely no question that Barack Hussein Obama has done
extraordinary work in promoting "fraternity between the nations."
How does that compare with George W. Bush?  Or should I say
George "Warmonger" Bush?

As I said to Michiel, the Nobel Peace Prize is based on reality,
regardless if one considers it as being a political award or not.
The fact of the matter is that everything we (as individuals and
as a collective society) do in life is political.  After all, man
is both a social and a political creature.  It is our nature and
part of the human condition.

Teddy Roosevelt was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1906.
He clearly met the criteria of promoting "fraternity between
the nations."  Got us out of war, remember?  Oops.  That
was before your time...

Woodrow Wilson was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1919.
He clearly met the criteria of promoting "fraternity between
the nations."  After all, he founded the League of Nations.

Jimmy Carter was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.
He clearly met the criteria of promoting "fraternity between
the nations."  Promoting peace throughout the world by bringing
sides together for talks and mediation is a very noble act.
In fact, Carter should have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
years earlier, sharing it with Anwar Sadat and Menachim Begin.
The Nobel Peace Prize committee freely admitted it had made a
mistake, claiming Carter had not been nominated in time.  Can
you imagine that?  Jimmy Carter, two-time recipient of the
Nobel Peace Prize.

Al Gore was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006.  He clearly
met the criteria of promoting "fraternity between the nations."
Being the main spokesman shedding light on global warming is
something the committee could never fail to realize.

Bill Clinton should have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize,
sharing it with Yatzik Rabin, Shimon Peres, and Yassir Arafat.
This was another "mistake" by the Nobel Peace Prize committee,
which has yet to be "corrected."

Why is it that FoxNews and friends deride the Nobel Peace Prize
committee's decision to award the Nobel Peace Prize to Barack Obama?
For the very same reason FoxNews and friends have derided the Nobel
Peace Prize committee's decision to award the prize to Jimmy Carter
and Al Gore, and would most certainly be even more derisive if the
Nobel Peace Prize were ever to award the prize to Bill Clinton.
What is their reason?  FoxNews and friends hate Democrats.  It's
that simple.  Just like Rush Limbaugh, that overblown blowhard,
FoxNews and friends want not only our President to fail, but
also our great country.
