My God, this "do nothing" President "has accomplished more in 30 days
than any president in modern history."  Or so said a senior White House
official in a background briefing for TV reporters.

President Barack Hussein Obama has done wonders during his first
year in office.  And he is not quitting or slowing down what he set
out to do.  His policies, whether on the environment, on healthcare,
on education, equality, public safety, families, etc., on foreign
affairs, or on workers are too numerous to list in a single post.

So where should I begin?

Lets not forget about his accomplishments as a U.S. Senator.  Lets not
forget about his accomplishments as a legislator in the Illinois state
senate.  Lets not forget about his accomplishments as president of the
Harvard Law Review.  Lets not forget about his accomplishments as a law
professor.  Lets not forget about his accomplishments as a community
organizer.

I am sure you are aware of the Lugar-Obama legislation that helped
decrease the threat of old nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons in
the former Soviet Union.  I am sure you are aware of the Federal Funding
Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006, which Obama co-authored.
I am sure you are aware of Obama having been very active in legislation
to end the Iraq war - long before he was elected President.  I am sure
you are aware of the Dignified Treatment of Wounded Warriors Act, which
passed in July of 2007, addressing the horrible treatment received by
Veterans under the Bush administration.  The act began as the Dignity
for Wounded Warriors Act, introduced by Obama himself earlier in the
year.

The fact of the matter is that NO DEMOCRAT (including Hillary Clinton)
has been able to do a heck of a lot that meets the accomplishment
benchmark set by rightwing nutjobs.  After all, Republicans only want
to obstruct.  Obstruct anything and everything that stands in the
way of their own deluded worldview.

Barack Hussein Obama was in the U.S. Senate for three years, two
of those years spend with a Republican majority that absolutely refused
to let legislation sponsored by Democrats to reach the floor for a vote.
And on those few occasions where Bill Frist actually granted such a
luxury, Republicans shot down almost every Democratic initiative
with extreme prejudice.

Since losing their majority status, look at what the minority
Republicans have done.  About the only thing Republicans have not
blocked or tried to block is the Senate chaplain's morning prayer.

Fortunately, the Senate now has 60 Democrats (actually 58, but
with 2 Independents who tend to vote with Democrats).  That is the
only reason Republicans have not filibustered, or tried to filibuster,
every piece of legislation introduced by Democrats.

The vote to award the Nobel Peace Prize to President Obama was
unaminous.  That is hardly what anybody would call "faint praise."
Except rightwing nutjobs.

I am fully aware of what you wrote.  I am also fully aware of what
Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show.  As well as what other rightwing
nutjobs have said and/or written.
