That probably won't do you much good, since the grading authorities - the
people who are _real_ experts - are elsewhere. Still, you can talk with someone
knowledgeable.

The best way to really get an idea would be to contact people like those at
Stacks or one of the other ANA-recommended dealers, who are definitely honest
and concientious. You would probably have to send the coin for grading, but
that would depend on what they say is necesary.

In any case, it would be a good idea to take some closeups or high-resolution
scans to send over the Internet to possible grading authorities - that way they
can get an idea of the condition even without having the coin in front of them.

Careful, careful... note the huge jump from MS-64 to MS-65, which is
_definitely_ not reflected by a similarly huge jump in the visual appearance of
the coin. Those are very fine differences and even the experts can have
problems distinguishing things like this.

Also, selling prices are not buying prices. Count on at least 20-30% less when
you sell, probably more.

Can't help you there, unfortunately. My thought would be to take some good
closeups or high-resolution scans of both sides, open and closed, and send them
to antique dealers for inspection.
