Anybody who claims that their health care insurance premiums are expensive
have never looked at their health care bills paid for by their insurance.
None of them could afford to pay for their own health care, unless they
were paying cash for minor problems. A CT scan without insurance costs
over $1200 if you pay cash. If you get to a point where need a CT scan,
your money problems are just beginning.

That doesn't happen. When you turn 65, you're automatically removed from
private health care and you're expected to join medicare.

JD> Your military is much the same. When I retired from our airforce

In the USA we appreciate our veterans and so they receive lifetime health
care if they want it. One of my employees was a retired 20 year navy man.
His health was in such bad shape he had to use the VA for his health care
because no insurance company would accept him. He was so fat that he had a
heart attack at the age of 42 and went downhill from there.

JD> Ford still has that same problem as well.

Yes, but Ford seems to think they're above the other two. Maybe, maybe
not.

JD> Those Unions are just too powerful. How do you break a union with
 JD> that many members?

Easy. You hire 'scabs' and escort them back and forth to work thru union
lines. Six months of that and most union workers 'want' to return to work.
They can't afford to be out of work a month, let alone six months. About
that same time, the company announces that the union workers have so many
days to report to their regular jobs at lower wages or lose them. Shop
stewards may return to work as long as they give up their union status,
otherwise they're out of a job. Solar Turbines did that to the IAM and
that company is better off for it.

JD> Damn near impossible for such large companies.

The larger the company, the easier it gets.

JD> And yet, they are still recruiting nurses and doctors here in Canada.

They're doing the same here as well. There isn't a day that goes by that
the local rag doesn't run ads for nurses. Meanwhile, those who have 25 or
30 years in their profession can't wait to retire.

JD> Never having heard those claims from the present admin, I cant say
JD> for or against that statement.

The Congressman who shouted out to O'bama that 'you lie!' wasn't lying.
Read the healthcare plan that the liberals want to put in place and you'll
be able to see what the Congressman was referring to.
