He started his career as a community organizer, trying to emulate
the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. by bringing peace to the streets
of Chicago.  But very few white folks heeded his words.  So he
moved on, teaching constitutional law to students, and becoming
president of the Harvard Law Review.  Then an idea hit him.  He
decided to run for public office!  That way, he could effect change.
Real change, creating public policy.  His first step was to get
elected to the Illinois state senate.  Then he set his sites on
becoming a U.S. Representative.  But a Black Panther won that
race, so he had to stay put in the Illinois state senate a while
longer.  But it was a short stay, as the incumbent Republican
U.S. Senator got caught in a sex scandal, opening the door for
Barack Hussein Obama to become a U.S. Senator.  See how that
works?  Once in the U.S. Senate, Barack Hussein Obama became
best friends with Richard Lugar, a Republican U.S. Senator from
neighboring state Indiana.  The two of them then put together
a piece of legislation known as the Lugar-Obama proliferation
and threat reduction intitiative, guiding the legislation into
law.  This law expands U.S. cooperation to destroy conventional
weapons, and also expands the State Department's ability to
detect and interdict weapons and materials of mass destruction.

So, as you can see, not only has Barack Hussein Obama spoken
out against the proliferation of nuclear weapons, he has also
authored/co-authored legislation do reduce nuclear weapons.

That is but one thing Barack Hussein Obama has done to deserve
the Nobel Peace Prize. There are many other things, too many to
name in a single post.  But here are a few other things -

It has been widely reported that Barack Hussein Obama spoke out
against the war in Iraq, long before he became President.

It has been widely reported that as President he has signed an
executive order to close the detention center at Gitmo.

It has been widely reported that as President he has made a deal
with Russia to remove the missile shield from Poland.

It has been widely reported that the Obama administration is
actually talking with their Iranian counterparts in an effort
to convince the Iranians to do away with their nuclear weapons
project.

President Obama has secured $5 billion in aid commitments "to bolster
[Pakistan's] economy and help it fight terror and Islamic radicalism".

President Obama's engagement with the Muslim world has beein truly
remarkable - and under-appreciated.  He has dramatically changed
the image of America in that region of the world.  A very good thing.

President Obama has led the global response to the economic crisis
through the G20, obtaining commitments of $1.1 trillion to safeguard
the world's most vulnerable economies.

President Obama has established a major agenda in order to protect
Americans (and the world) from the spread/use of deadly weapons,
resulting in new nuclear weapon cuts with Russia and committing to
the elimination of nuclear weapons throughout the world.

President Obama has signed an executive order banning torture.
No longer will torture be an instrument the military and intelligence
agencies can use.

President Obama has signed an executive order to close CIA secret
prisons.  Without such secret prisons, the CIA could no longer use
cronies to conduct torture.  Makes sense, doesn't it?

President Obama has cut ineffective and outdated weapons systems,
such as the F-22, the DDG-1000 destroyer, and Future Combat Systems.
Remember, we are not fighting the Cold War any more.

President Obama has vowed to bring the costs of the wars in Afghanistan
and Iraq into the regular budget by 2010.  The previous administration
kept such costs off the budget.

President Obama has provided the largest increase for veterans
in 30 years.  Our veterans deserve better than what they got under
the previous administration.  Far better.

President Obama has restored the UN Ambassador to a cabinet level
position.  The previous administration looked at the UN Ambassador
and the United Nations as being some kind of joke.

President Obama has signed the Weapons Systems Acquisition Reform Act.
This stops massive fraud and wasteful spending in defense procurment and
contracting, which had been going on for years under the previous
administration.

President Obama has helped free 2 American journalists from a North
Korea prison (with a bit of help from Bill Clinton).

President Obama has led the UN Security Council in voting for strong
sanctions against North Korea.  That is something GWB never did.

President Obama has negotiated with Russia to allow overflights
over their territory in order to establish a supply route into Northern
Afghanistan.  Did I say "negotiate"?  That was a dirty word to GWB.

I can cite more examples.  But that's enough.  For now.
