You don't know that. Since Joran had to make first contact with either the
mother or her lawyer, he fell within US jurisdiction when he attempted to
extort money from her by telephone (it doesn't matter that he was
allegedly in Aruba). Then, when she agreed to pay, he had her wire $15k,
after he first collected $10k in cash from her lawyer (via FBI incognito),
from the US to his bank in the Netherlands, an international crime of wire
fraud.

LOL! You've probably never heard of how the press can influence the
police and their investigation. Especially in small countries whose income
is derived from tourism, who have no industrial exports. (I suspect that
the Aruban authorities (who fucked up the Holloway case from day one)
would like to live it over and over again.
